Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

By downloading or using All Aboard, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

These terms cover the All Aboard Cruise Companion apps for iPhone, Apple Watch, Android phones and Wear OS watches, including their widgets and complications, plus the web planner at allaboardcc.com (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by The Meier Co, doing business as SoBoApps (“we,” “us,” “our”).

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

2. What All Aboard does

All Aboard is a free cruise companion. It helps you keep track of ship time, set an all-aboard alarm, plan your port days, track spending, keep packing lists and travel documents, and share cruise plans with people you sail with.

All Aboard works with any cruise line. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any cruise line, port, travel agency or government. Cruise line, ship and port names are used only to identify them.

We may add, change or remove features at any time. Some features need an internet connection, and some depend on the operating system and devices you use.

3. Alarms, ship time and countdowns are reminders only

You are responsible for getting back to your ship on time. The all-aboard alarm, ship time, countdowns, Tiles, complications, watch faces and widgets are helpful reminders. They are not a guarantee, and they do not replace your cruise line.

  • Always follow your cruise line’s official times. Use the times in your cruise line’s app, daily planner, ship announcements and gangway signs. If anything in All Aboard differs, the cruise line is right.
  • Check the times you enter. The alarm and countdowns use the times and ship time setting you give the app. A wrong entry gives a wrong reminder.
  • Ship time can change. Ships change their clocks during a cruise, and the ship’s time may differ from local port time.
  • Devices can fail. An alarm may not sound or a watch may not update if your phone or watch is off, out of battery, muted in a way the system does not override, not paired, out of range, or limited by its operating system.

We are not responsible for a missed ship, missed tour, missed flight or any cost that follows, such as travel to the next port, hotels or lost cruise days.

4. Travel information is general information

Visas and entry details, port guides, embassy listings, weather, port news, ship codes, ship positions and similar content are for general information only. They are not legal, immigration, medical, safety or travel advice.

This information comes from outside sources and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Entry rules change often. Before you travel, confirm what you need with official government sources, your cruise line and your travel provider. The ship map shows public broadcast positions that may be delayed or missing.

5. Cloud Sync accounts and sharing

You can use All Aboard without an account. Cloud Sync is optional. If you create an account:

  • Give a real email address you control, and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Tell us at support@themeierco.com if you think someone else is using your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app or at allaboardcc.com/delete-account.

Sharing. When you invite others to a cruise, share an activity, join a group activity or take part in Roll Call, the people you share with can see what you share. Only share information you have the right to share, including details about other passengers.

Travel agents. If you add a travel agent’s Agent ID to a cruise, that cruise may show the agent’s branding and links until the cruise ends. The agent is an independent business, not part of All Aboard. Any service they provide is between you and them.

Keep your own copies. All Aboard stores data on your device first. We work to keep Cloud Sync reliable, but we do not guarantee it. Keep important documents, such as passports and booking confirmations, somewhere else as well.

6. Your content and acceptable use

You own what you put into All Aboard, such as itineraries, notes, photos, reviews and packing lists. You give us permission to store, copy and display that content only as needed to run the Service for you and the people you share it with. Reviews and photos you post publicly can be seen by other users.

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, misleading, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Share other people’s personal information without their permission.
  • Use the Service to spam, advertise, or impersonate anyone.
  • Interfere with the Service, try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or scrape or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows.
  • Use the Service in breach of any law.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Sponsored links and other services

All Aboard shows some links to travel partners, marked “Sponsored.” We may earn a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you.

When you follow a link to another company, such as a tour, booking or insurance site, you leave All Aboard. That company’s own terms and policies apply. We do not control or guarantee their products, prices, availability or service, and any booking is between you and them.

All Aboard also relies on outside services, such as weather, maps, ship positions and push notifications. We are not responsible if they are unavailable or inaccurate.

8. Price

All Aboard is free to download and use, with no subscriptions or in-app purchases. If we ever offer paid features, we will show the price and terms before you buy, and the purchase will go through the App Store or Google Play under their rules.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information All Aboard uses and how we handle it. It is part of these terms.

10. Our app and your license to use it

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, code and the All Aboard name and logo, belongs to The Meier Co. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms and the App Store or Google Play rules. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the Service.

11. Disclaimers and limits on our liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost travel, missed departures, or other losses arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to US$50.

Some places do not allow these limits, so some may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims by others that arise from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these terms.

12. Ending, changes, law and contact

Ending. You can stop using All Aboard at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms. Sections 3, 4, 6, 7, 10 and 11 still apply after that.

Changes. We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes, we will give notice in the app or on its store listing. Using the Service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts in Virginia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

Apple users. These terms are between you and The Meier Co, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support, or any claim about it. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple for a refund of any purchase price, which is zero for a free app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. government embargo and not on a U.S. government list of restricted parties.

Google Play users. Your use of the app is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

General. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
